From the collection of the State Archive in Białystok

Decorative tableau was made for commemorating the members of the first City Council in an independent Poland. It presents the pictures of the members with their surnames: Antoni Gliński, Stanisław Homan, Stanisław Smoliński, Wincenty Hermanowski, Zygmunt Siemaszko, Stefan Sobolewski, Jan Knaup, Jan Jaroszewicz, inż. Mieczysław Malinowski, Władysław Kolendo, Jadwiga Klimkiewiczowa, Michał Motoszko, Konstanty Kosiński, Feliks Janowicz, Bolesław NiedĽwiecki, Bolesław Łabanowski, Ignacy Kuligowski, Jan Bamiński, Wilhelm Laprecht, inż. Bolesław Rybołowicz, dr Bogusław Ostromęcki, Władysław Teul, Stefan Starzyński, Jan Jałyński, Antoni Minkiewicz, Zygmunt Maciejewski, Franciszek Gil-Gilewski, Stanisław Parfjanowicz, Franciszek Godyński, A. Roleder, Józef Puchalski, Stefan Kucharski, Jan Wasilewski, Józef Citkowski, Julia Champińska, Kazimierz Sasinowski.
The tableau is attractively illustrated with pictures of buildings. From the left there are:
the then building of the municipal authorities at Warszawska Street. During the World War II the building was damaged.
the Town Hall with clock tower, built in 18th century. During the interwar period there was a market around it. Now it is the seat of the Podlaskie Museum.
the Branicki Family Palace is the most magnificent building in the city. The palace was built at the turn of 17th and 18th century. From 1919 to 1939 the palace was the seat of the Voivodeship Office. It was rebuilt after the war. Since 1950 it has been the seat of the Medical Academy.
