The Torun Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1979 and, since then, it has given over 1600 concerts in the most significant cities in Poland and in many European countries.

Universitas Cantat is the presentation forum of the musical life of the academic centers from entire world. Each year the leading university choirs meet in Poznań. The Festival was organised for the first time in 1998. It is non-competitive. The organisers would like to establish a musical bridge connecting universities from all over the world. Around 3500 students from 20 countries participated in seven festival editions.
