Former Poland soccer coach Kazimierz Gorski has been buried at Warsaw's Powązki Cemetery.
The funeral mass was celebrated by the Polish primate and attended by the president and prime minister. Among those present were also delegations from the European and international soccer federations and many members of the national team which the legendary coach led to a third-place finish at the 1974 World Cup and Olympic gold, including goalkeeper Jan Tomaszewski and striker Grzegorz Lato.
Born in Lvov, now in Ukraine, Kazimierz Gorski coached the national team from 1970 to 1976, the golden era of Polish soccer. He died on May 23 at the age of 85.
